I wanted to take a few minutes to remind you all that cold & flu season is getting to be upon us. We will all be inside more, and one of the things that we touch on a regular basis without thinking about the germs that live on it is our remote controls.
I'm going to let you all in on how I clean my remotes....
Did your remote come with instructions on how to clean it, if so you
can follow their directions.
You need to take care when cleaning
your remotes as you do not want to damage the buttons or batteries. So
removing the batteries before cleaning is a good idea.
Spray a lint free cloth (found in supermarkets) with rubbing alcohol
or use Curad Alcohol wipes to wipe down the remote. If there
is a build up of dirt use a cotton tip or toothpick. Be careful not to
break the toothpick as this may damage the remote.
Regular monthly cleaning of the remotes is all that is required. Go
ahead shouldn’t take any more than 5 minutes, do it during an ad break
of your evening TV viewing!!
